MTA Newsletter
Winter/Spring 2007-2008
Greetings and Welcome to the Department of Tourism and Hospitality's Winter/Spring Newsletter! In this issue you will find several points of interest, including updates on Alumni and Current Students, a section titled "301 Funger" where you will find Faculty and Graduate Assistant information, DTHM Organization updates, and information about all of the events throughout the fall semester.
First and foremost, our department would like to welcome Dr. Stuart Levy, Assistant Professor of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Dr. Levy earned his Ph.D. in Management from the University of Calgary, his M.B.A. from Georgetown University, and a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Cornell University. Dr. Levy is currently researching Consumer-to-Consumer Interactions and Customer Loyalty. Learn more about Dr. Levy in 301 Funger.
Additionally, please join us in welcoming Stacy Dellinger, in her capacity as Program Coordinator of Enrollment and Student Services for Distance Programs. Stacy is a former graduate of the Masters of Tourism Administration program, where she focused on the individualized studies concentration. During her studies she worked at GWU as a Graduate Assistant, and later as a Marketing Coordinator for a local events management company. Stacy also has two years of college recruiting experience at Mid-Atlantic colleges. More recently, Stacy was a trainee at Kempinski Hotel Beijing in their Marketing & Sales Department. She was responsible for updating the hotel’s website and editing their marketing material in preparation for the 2008 Olympics.
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Levy and Stacy to the MTA family!
